ABOUT CAT

I’m Catherine (Cat) Connolly, a Graphic designer and Longarm quilter residing in Perth Western Australia.

I like to quilt, design quilting fabric and sometimes I make crafty crap.

My life is pretty much consumed by indulging in creative pursuits such as stitching, illustration, pattern making, quilting and graphic design. I create under the label Sew darn over it. 

ABOUT THE QUILTS

I make quilts and design the patterns to construct the quilt tops using the domestic sewing machine or for hand piecing.

The quilts I make are for relatives and friends, some as prototypes for my patterns and some to showcase my fabric range. I occasionally (but rarely) list them for sale on my website when I run out of room in my studio.

ABOUT THE QUILTING

I'm the proud owner of a Gammill statler stitcher quilting machine. I design digital quilt patterns for longarm quilting machines in all file formats, quilt fabric designs and patterns for machine piecing. I also provide a long arm quilting service.

ABOUT THE FABRIC

I have designed 3 ranges of low volume and background fabrics.  The fabrics have been available mostly in quilt stores in Australia and the USA. Most of my fabric designs are available to view via my Gallery tab.
